With todays rising gas prices, more and more people are seeking online recovery meetings. Let's face it, when forced to choose between gas and food and meetings and work, it's the meetings that will be one of the first things people choose to let slide in order to take care of their families to the best of their ability.
With that in mind, I've decided to once again step up and be accountable. I will be chairing at least one meeting a week here at AEB. When I asked for a night choice from the group in chat last night I was offered 2 suggestions---1 being Sat at 10 Eastern,9 Central, 8 mountain and 7 Pacific. The other choice was for Thursday night same times.
That being said, I'll be starting the Sat. night meeting tonight 4/26/08 and will chair it as long as the group wants me to. At any time someone wants a meeting, please ask if anyone is up for a meeting. With or without the meeting readings, a meeting can be held for all who want or need one. If anyone wants a copy of the meeting readings to copy and paste into the meeting room, I have them and will happily e-mail them to you....if you don't know how to copy and paste, Woody or I one can and will take the time to help you get it down--speed doesn't matter, God knows I'm slow still lol. Just a FYI, I was probably the worst at it---but God bless Woody he stuck with it until finally I "got it". lol

Shoot didn't know meeting was at 10, logged in for midnight one........oh well see ya next week !!!!!!

I had a wreck Thursday and broke my foot. I have not been sleeping well. If I amAWAKE, I'll be there. If I am asleep...I better get some neded sleep.

I'm so sorry about your wreck, Lin, but very grateful that you didn't get more serious injuries!!!! I was also very glad that you were feeling up to making the meeting last night. Your presence and sharing meant a lot to me sweetie. I know there were only 4 of us, but I have faith that the meeting will grow, and eventually we'll need to come early in order to get a good seat!! Lol.

I hope I am still awake to come tonight. We had a big bar-b-q festival here today and we went. I walked much more than I am used to in this cast. My foot is not feeling so well. I will stay off of it as much as I can and try my best to be there tonight.

We're moving (Still) and I'm not sure my computer will be up by this coming Sat. night----Lin, would you please chair the meeting if I'm not online---you or woody one. You two can work that out between yourselves.
God, it's harder and harder to move when ya get old lol. At least this time we have my car and Lauries' little pickup, but still have to find a couple of nice strong men and a trailer to move the washer and dryer, the fridge and upright freezer. Not to mention the humungous entertainment center and the china cabinet. Everything else we're doing ourselves. I firmly believe in not asking God or anyone else to do for me what I can do for myself!!!!
God bless you all. I hope to be back up and running by Sat. This post is really a just in case thing :)

Yep as I posted in another thread we definitely are moving..................about 1/3 of stuff is over there with a whole bunch of packed boxes staring at me right now to be put into the truck.
We'll get there. Hopefully we'll both be at saturday night's meetings, however, I second Lora's request for Woody or Lin to be there "just in case."
