When I came to recovery about 15 years ago I had no inkling of what it meant to completely RELAX. I was always so worked up about what others were doing, or what they might be doing, or what they probably would be doing. I was busy churning ideas in my mind of why it was my fault and what I could do to chenge it.
I found recovery. ANd by working my program I found so many awes9ome ways to relax. A few of my favorites are:
do a relaxing hobby like Sudoko puzzles candles hot bath or shower bubble bath bubbles (the kind you use a plastic wand and a bottle of bubbles walk exercize music reading driving in the country riding bikes...wind in my face playing with the dogs leisurely shopping delegating letting go accepting pray & meditation reading my Alanon books Manicure/pedicure getting my hair done massage post on message board or read them have lunch with my recovery freinds take in an extra meeting play with a baby
