Do you have a favorite tradition?

Mine is tradition #5. IN either program, it's about helping others. It reminds me of where I was, how far I have come, and how I can be there for the newcomers the same way others were there for me. It really keeps me focused to hear or read the 5th tradition.

(I hope I did not step on toes to post in the AA section, but it's also the steps and tradition forum and we all follow those same steps and traditions.)

What's your favorite tradition?

LIN

mmmmmmmm Don't think I have a favor step or tradition. I know I at times there have been some that I DIDN'T LIKE and DIDN'T WANT to do.

Have a great day.

Oy geeze......you want me to pick?!

There have been times where I've grumbled about each one of those traditions and times when I've applauded the foresight of the founders to establish those suckers.

The past few weeks, because of some circumstances going on at a meeting which I don't generally frequent, the favorite would be the 12th Tradition: "Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities."
Or at least I'm hopin' it'll be?
Elsewise it could get really, really messy. LOL

(No problem with ya posting here, there or everywhere Ms. Lin!)

Thanks Morey. I thought a long time before posting jsut because I did n't want to step on toes.
12th? Yep. I was thinking the same thing. Last night we had 5 student nurses attend our alanon meeting. One said.hey..aren't you Mrs. T? You taught me in 3rd grade. So after we read the steps and traditions, I stopped and explained how that 12th one works. Yep. 12th tradition was a wise decsion on the part of those who wrote the steps and traditions.
