Hey Karen. Good to see you back. You started this awesome post and it's good to see you re-visit.

Today I am thankful
1.that I have one day to work and will get off for 5. (at one of my 2 jobs)
2. That this year I don't have money worries. I want to be able to help less fortunate this Christmas. I have a few picked out already.
3. That my husband has not drank in about 2 weeks. (ODAT>>>)
4. For my freinds and family
5. for my health
6. that my Christmas shopping is finished. Now I can enjoy the sales for early shopping for next year, for myself, and for tucking a few more gifts in some of hte gift bags.

LIN

I am grateful for the quiet times I have each morning to meditate, read, and get my day started.
I am grateful that my family is healthy.
I am grateful for that family, for friends, for support persons.
I am grateful that even with a broken dryer my laundry is not overrunning the house. :)
HUGS

LET GO LET GOD
As children bring their broken toys with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God, because He was my friend.
I hung around and tried to help, with ways that were my own.
At last, I snatched them back and cried, "How can you be so slow?"
"My child," He said,
"What could I do? You never did let go."

Oh gosh, Dean. What a wonderful gift to give Donna.......made ME teary, dangitall!

Top of the List for Gratitude today:
I'm grateful for a loving, patient G-d who lets me grow at my own pace (even though I'm SURE He's up there chuckling at my ignorant ways!)
Heck, I'm grateful that I HAVE a relationship with the Big Guy....I sure didn't use to.

And I'm grateful for good people with chainsaws who showed up after one phone call from me to help my new neighbour that they don't know from Adam. How cool is that?!

~~~True ambition is the deep desire to live usefully and walk humbly under the grace of G-d.~~~
SHowed up with chainsaw? I am guessing there is a tree down from a storm. I had the vision of the chainsaw masacre. I guess because I jsut finished watching the new Lindsay Lohan DVD and it had p[arts where fingers were chopped off. YUCK.
Yeah..it's cool when folks who don't even know you come to your aid.
I recently posted about one of my jobs on a staff site. I wanted to get aholdd of some favorite cookbooks. A lady in California said she had a box and a few more and she'd be happy to transfer 18 of them and mail them. She said her reason....when her area was in danger from the recent fires, people all over the US came to help. So she want3ed to help lil ole ME in KY by sending on some cookbooks.
We pay it forward when good things are done to and for us. That's how HE wants it. I try my best to do that as often as I get a chance.
I lvoe reading your posts, IOWA> I do hope you will stop in more often to post!
I am not going to even attempt this one. I don't have enough time. Will sum it up this way. Fear never keep me sober. Didn't matter if it was the fear of dying or Johnny Law, or wife leaving or whatever. Gratitude has keep me sober for many years. I stopped going to AA many years ago for drinking. I go for attitude adjustment and out of gratitude for what has been given me and hopefully I can pass it on to someone else.
